A delegation of AMOUBA led by Engr. Muhammed Adil Usman met with
KARACHI, September 02 – Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys’ Association’s (AMUOBA) delegation headed by Engr. Muhammad Adil Usman, Chancellor Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) accompanied by executive members of the Association and others met elected President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Mamnoon Hussain at Karachi and discussed various issues. The delegation of AMUOBA also brought to the knowledge of the President-elect other problems and challenges being faced by the Association and academic sector.
Chancellor Muhammad Adil Usman, President AMUOBA, on behalf of the Association presented best compliments and wishes to Mr. Mamnoon Hussain for his brilliant success and commendable achievement. He said that the country expects Mr. Mamnoon Hussain would act to address the genuine problems for the economic prosperity of Pakistan.
He informed that due to the high standard of education at SSUET, around 5000 students studying in the university and “we are introducing three more technologies at the campus from the new academic year which includes Architecture, Software Engineering and Bioinformatics.” He told the President-elect that new university campus is being developed at the 200 acres of land in education city and the grand project of Sir Syed Tower has to take a start soon.
Led by Engr. Muhammad Adil Usman, Chancellor SSUET, the delegation included Cdre (R) Saleem A. Siddiqui, Muhammad Yousuf Siddiqui, Mukhtar Ahmed Naqvi, Muhammad Salman Sualeh, Shajar Ali Hashmi, Ali Zafar Khan Afridi, Masood Alam, Abdul Rasheed Khan, Dr Jafar Nazir Usmani, Tariq Sabzwari and others.
The President-elect said that the visit of AMUOBA delegation was very important and meaningful for further enhancing the existing extra-ordinary good relations between the two offices. He immensely appreciated the efforts of members of AMUOBA who are following the spirit of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and his vision for promoting education among the Muslims. And such visits would definitely help boost bilateral relations in evolving strategies to tackle serious issues.
